the pattern designed in 1864 by George Wilkinson (1819-1894), Providence, Rhode Island, retailed by Tiffany & Co., New York, New York, each inscribed on the reverse "Newcomb".

Condition Report: Four of the spoons have a minor kink in the bowl, two of them with a slight crack on one side where the bowl meets the handle, and two with similar cracks on both sides (the largest is about 3/16", the shortest about 1/16"). One other has a very slight dent on the bowl. Surface wear consistent with age and use. Medallions generally good, with some wear to the relief. Each marked on the reverse with the Gorham "lion-anchor-G" trademark, "Pat. 1864" and "Tiffany & Co. / Sterling".
