Ancient Near East, ca. 2nd to 1st millennium BCE; northwestern Iran and Turkey, Luristan, ca. 1000 to 600 BCE; Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE; Near East, Islamic culture, ca. 9th to 14th century CE. A fabulous ensemble of 7 bronze, brass, and glass examples: a Luristan ibex and ibex head, a Roman griffin, an ancient Near Eastern man riding an animal, and an Islamic pitcher, bird, and green glass vase. Size of largest (ibex): 1.8" L x 0.5" W x 1.9" H (4.6 cm x 1.3 cm x 4.8 cm)

Provenance: private southern California collection, USA, bestowed 2006; ex-J. Malter collection, Los Angeles, California, USA, acquired before 2006

Condition Report: Ibex head is part of a larger piece, but all others are intact. All have expected surface wear with abrasions and softening of details. Otherwise, all are very nice with great patina.
