The clasp of the necklace is marked 750, pendant is unmarked and metal tests 14k gold. The heart shaped amethyst measures 25.00 x 29.10 x 16.15 mm. One stone in the bird's mohawk is not oval-shaped sapphire, perhaps it was replaced at a later date as a pear-shaped blue stone. A few rubies, emeralds and diamonds show minor chips and nicks. The bird brooch is completed by double pinstem and catch, one pinstem is slightly bent.
