A Walker & Hall Silver Epergne, Sheffield, England, 1902 Marks: (lion passant), (crown), k, (W&H-pennant), STERLING 16 x 15 x 15 inches (40.6 x 38.1 x 38.1 cm) (overall, epergne) 2264 grams (72.79 troy ounces) The epergne with central trumpet-form vase with pierced scrollwork border within shaped rim, circled by three vases and three baskets with claw feet, each detachable, similarly pierced, and supported by a scrolling arm, set on a domed base with conforming pierced band and shaped rim. Condition Report: Epergne with three removable baskets and three removable vases. Presents well. Push to rim of central vase, with several subsequent dents to reticulated portion. Minor dent to well of one basket. Scattered fine surface wear and minor abrasions throughout as expected with age and mild handling. Marked to well of each basket, exterior of each vase, base of each arm, and base of central stem. Heritage Auctions strongly encourages in-person inspection of items by the bidder.
