77 Japanese Print Cypress Drum Yoshitoshi Mori (DaJ)

Up for sale from a recent consignor in Honolulu Hawaii this attractive 1977 Japanese limited edition 30/50 color stencil print that is titled "Cypress drum" and depicts two figures beating the drum and was created by the well known artist Yoshitoshi Mori (1898-1992). The print was framed in Japan as you can see on the label attached to the backing. The condition is described below for more information please check the photos. Free local pick up availbale.

More about the artist:
Printmaker and textile artist Yoshitoshi Mori was born in Tokyo in 1898. He studied at the Kawabata Painting School (based in Tokyo from 1909 - 1945), working primarily in textile arts and eventually befriending Serizawa Keisuke and Yanagi Soetsu, founder of the mengei folk art and craft movement.

Condition: The item is overall in good pre-owned condition, it was not inspected out of the Japanese frame, there is some staining on the inside of the glass visible and if the piece stays in this frame it should be opened up and cleaned on the inside, the print can also be taken out of the frame, due to the photos being taken through the glass the colors might be slightly distorted,"
