7pc Japanese Ceramic Skeleton Poison Decanter and Skull Shot Cup Set

Japanese ceramic novelty liquor set featuring a memento mori theme. The set includes a decanter modeled as a standing skeleton wearing a hooded ochre-colored cloak, which is pulled aside to reveal the incised word Poison below three small crosses. The set is accompanied by six matching shot cups modeled as grinning human skulls. Each piece features a tan and white glazed finish with a plain white glazed interior. The unglazed foot ring of the decanter and each cup bears a red printed mark reading MADE IN JAPAN in two lines. The decanter base also retains a small circular gold foil label printed with 17 and a character resembling the letter T.
