8" Swiss Cylinder Music Box
An elegant late 19th-century Swiss cylinder music box housed in a rich mahogany or walnut case with a inner glass cover protecting the brass mechanism. Featuring a brass cylinder assembly, steel comb, and serial number 33649 stamped near the bedplate, this classic Victorian-era mechanical instrument showcases fine European craftsmanship. The wooden case exhibits light surface wear, minor scuffs, and age-appropriate patina throughout. Overall, it remains a clean, well-preserved piece; it features a case lock (lacks key), has two small screws missing from the hinge hardware, and shows one broken tine on the comb. The mechanism functions and operates when wound. Measures approximately 16" wide by 6.25" deep by 5" high. Please see photos for condition.
