89823: Large Light Box Sign for Dick Clark's New Year's

[ translate ]

Large Light Box Sign for Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve 2005 (ABC TV, 2005). This square metal light box features a printed graphic on each side that reads, "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve 2005" in white and purple uppercase letters with a neon-inspired blue background and power cord that hung behind host Dick Clark's shoulder in the Time Square reporting booth in New York City. While the graphics were changed out annually, the black wood light box with black gaffer's tape around the borders was reused in various annual shows. 2005 was the year that Mr. Clark was unable to host — the first time in decades — due to a stroke he suffered, and Ryan Seacrest stepped in. Acquired from Art Director Bruce Ryan. It measures 48 in. tall x 48 in. wide x 6 in. deep. Exhibits wear commensurate with age and repeated production use, with chips and scratches, but remains in Very Good condition. Acquired from series art director, Mr. Bruce Ryan.
