A 14-BORE AMERICAN FLINTLOCK TRADE MUSKET, 40.5inch sighted barrel, stamped PM and LH at the breech and dated 1837 (?), border and scroll engraved lock stamped WARRANTED, full stocked with plated brass mounts, the butt set with two oval white metal plaques decorated with buffalo, (later additions), the left side of the butt with initials SAG, horn capped wooden ramrod. Main spring soft.
