The broad curved flat backed blade with a broad single fuller to each side, stamped "345" on the back. Regulation steel stirrup hilt stamped "A.M.XVII.2.82" (2. Artillerie-Munitionskolonne des XVII. Armeekorps, 82. Waffe) has a slot for a sword knot. The stirrup hilted guard pommel. Leather covered ribbed wooden grip. Steel plate scabbard with two movable rings bearing the stamp "G.A.F.4.70".
