M.T. Wickham of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania manufactured Model 1816 flintlock musket. Flint lock marked "Phila" over "1833" at rear of lock and "US" over "M.T. Wickham" in front of cock. Smoothbore musket style barrel with front blade sight and "US", "AH" and "P" in circle proofs at breech. Left side of barrel has "LS" for the barrel manufacturer. Walnut wood stock with iron furniture including three barrel bands. CONDITION: Overall nice aged patina on metal parts possibly cleaned many years ago. Wood has handling and usage marks with no visible cracks or repairs. Nice honest musket. From the Robert Sadler Collection.
