A 1920's set of twelve silver teaspoons and a pair of sugar tongs, etc.

A 1920's set of twelve silver teaspoons and a pair of sugar tongs, each with an engraved initial to the terminal, contained within a fitted case, hallmarked James Dixon & Sons Ltd., Sheffield 1928, tongs dated 1927. Together with an Edwardian imported cased set of six silver Apostle coffee spoons, hallmarked Samuel Boyce (or Boaz) Landeck, Chester 1902, one dated 1901, alongside the Foreign mark and Dutch assay marks, a loose set of six 1920's silver Apostle teaspoons, a pair of 1960's silver teaspoons and two silver souvenir spoons with enamelled terminals. Gross weight 10.6 ozt (332 grams). In good overall condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Minor scuffs and wear around the bottom of the fitted case, there is also two areas either end where the material has come away. The Dutch assay marks include the key mark (1853-1953) and date letter for 1902 to the interior of the bowl and further indistinct marks to the back of the bowls, possible maker's marks. Other hallmarks clear and legible.
