A 1940s 18ct gold foliate carved ruby and emerald cuff

A 1940s 18ct gold foliate carved ruby and emerald cuff bangle, with diamond and ruby highlights.Central ruby and diamond cluster section detachable. May be worn as a brooch. Estimated total diamond weight 1.20cts, G-H colour, VS clarity. French assay marks. Inner diameter 5.7cms. 101.5gms.
Condition Report: Overall condition good.
Central ruby and diamond cluster is detachable from the bangle, with hinged pin fitting to the reverse allowing to be worn as a brooch.
One of the carved emeralds close the central cluster is damaged, with a large section missing. One carved emerald towards the side with a small chip to the point.
Carved stones generally in good condition, some with minor abrasions and some small nicks. Some with surface reaching inclusions and associated small cavities.
Diamonds well matched.
Diamonds bright.

Circular-shape rubies are a well matched vibrant slightly purplish red hue, well saturated, with good clarity.
French eagle head and dog head assay marks to the brooch section.
Maker's kite mark appears to read the initials 'A D'.
Width (at widest) 3.4cms. Diameter of brooch 3.4cms.
