A 19th century enamel and paste locket. The oval-shape painted enamel portrait miniature, depicting a woman in powdered wig with rose-cut diamond accent jewellery inset, to the cushion-shape paste surround and surmount, with glazed reverse. Length 5.4cms. Total weight 18.4gms.
Condition Report: Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
Diamonds well matched.
Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct.

Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

Enamel panel in good condition with one small, moderately deep surface scratch. Panel presumed on copper.
Surmount is detachable. Repair/alteration to surmount fitting.
Paste with moderate abrasion, nicks and small chips. Discolouration to foil backing.
Piece appears predominently silver with fine layer of gold on reverse.
