A 19th century turquoise and half pearl panel ring

A 19th century turquoise and half pearl panel ring, with floral engraved shoulders, (shank later extended, half pearls untested for origin), ring size P

Condition report:
Some of the turquoise cabochons and half pearls are later replaced and have a brighter hue/lustre. The turquoises have pitting, scuffs, chips and brownish vein inclusions, some with glue residue. The half pearls have chips, fractures, ripples and surface blemishes, some with glue residue. The head of the ring is fitted with a glass or rock crystal panel/cabochon to the centre, with a foil backing and surface wear. The foiling has discoloured and has a large dark area to one side that is visible to the eye. One side of the head has two small holes that may require repair and the mount has signs of general wear throughout, with patchy thinning to the edges of the settings and rubbing to the engraved decoration. The back of the shank has been re-sized with a later added section of a slightly rose-coloured hue. Width of head approx. 8.5mm. Metal standard is untested. Gross weight approx. 2gm.
