A .450 SNIDER CONVERSION WHITWORTH RIFLE, 35.75inch barrel, to the back of the breech block, ramp and ladder rear sights, foresight lacking, serial no. 198 to the top of the breech, border engraved lock stamped with a crown over TN, full stocked with chequered fore-end and wrist, border engraved steel mounts, two barrel bands, replacement brass tipped steel cleaning rod. Broadly speaking not dissimilar to a converted Enfield Pattern 1858 Short Rifle except without the bayonet lug on the front band.
