A 48inch Ordinary bicycle, circa 1879,
tubular curved backbone fitted with left mounting peg and metals saddle pan on leaf spring, unusual 'open' headstock, drop handlebars with turned grips (one split, one with taped repairs), simple lever brake, solid tapered front forks to hub, fitted with adjustable rubber block pedals and cranks, the front driver with opposed radial spokes to crescent rim with solid rubber tyre, the 14 inch rear trailing wheel with remains of white rubber tyre, (pitted and worn overall).
