A 9 carat gold propelling pencil by Sampson Mordan & Co., London 1935, with a vacant reserve on a barleycorn ground, 8.2cm (3 1/4in) long closed; and a Brazil link key chain, fitted with a button loop, stamped Made in England Chaincraft and 9CT, 61g gross

Property from the estate of the late Betty, Lady Grantchester.

Condition Report:
Overall very light wear commensurate with age and use. The name plate is un-engraved. The pencil is in good condition with no dents or repairs, and only slight surface scratches as expected. The pump action button to reveal the pencil nib works well. Good clear hallmarks and signature. The chain is in good condition with no pulls or warping and no signs of repair.
