Rubies appear medium pinkish-red to reddish-pink, fairly well saturated, with some nicks/nibbles and abrasions to facet edges.
Sapphires appear very dark blue to black, with some minor nicks/nibbles and minor abrasions to facet edges.
Emerald appears medium slightly bluish-green, fairly well saturated, with some minor nicks/nibbles and minor surface-reaching inclusions.
