A BAMBOO 'BIRD' PANEL AND TWO BAMBOO WRIST RESTS
19th century, the screen cyclically dated Dinghai year corresponding to 1886 and of the period
Comprising: two bamboo wrist rests of rectangular convex form, one carved with figures of the 'four noble occupations' including fishermen, woodcutter, farmer and scholar amidst a serene landscape featuring lakes, mountains, and pavilions, the second adorned with a mountainous landscape; a bamboo panel of rectangular shape, carved to one side with a peacock amidst flowering branches, rocks, and bamboo, the reverse with inscriptions in seal script.
The longest: 27.2cm (10 3/4in) (3).
