A BASTAR BRONZE OF A GODDESS WITH TRIDENT AND PLAQUE
India, 19th-20th century. The goddess is standing on a circular base that is decorated with a cross-lined pattern. She is holding a trident in her left hand that is bent towards her left shoulder. In the right hand had she is holding a plaque that is close to her chest. From the upper back emerges a god saw brine that symbolises holiness. The goddess is also wearing a crown, which is detailed with spikes.
