A BAUME & MERCIER GILT BRASS AND MAHOGANY CASED SHIP'S CLOCK, GENEVA, SWITZERLAND, SECOND HALF 20TH CENTURY, the glass covered white circular dial with black Roman numeral chapters, enclosing the clock maker's mark above, "BAUME & MERCIER GENEVE QUARTZ" and "SWISS," centering blued steel hands, reversing to a flat backed conical casing, covering clockworks engraved, "quartz Swiss 183583," encircled by a locking balance ring, custom fitted within the original octagonal brass inlaid polished mahogany case, centrally hinged with lid face framing a bronze plaque inscribed, "BAUME & MERCIER GENEVE," above a lockplate and key, opening to the lid interior mounted with a brass plaque engraved, "TO HARRY FROM K.G.," flanked by exterior wood inlaid brass handles, height: 5", width: 6 1/2", depth: 5 3/4"; including the original conforming tan faux leather wrapped presentation box with buckle strap, set within the original cardboard box, wood case height: 5", width: 5 7/8", depth: 5 7/8", dial diameter: 3 1/2".
Condition Report: Mild darkened patina spots on metal mounts, some mild expected surface wear, but overall in good to very good condition.
