A BELLE EPOQUE EMERALD AND DIAMOND NECKLACE, the pear shaped emerald, approx. 13.7 x 10.8 x 3.4mm, in a millegrain mount, suspended within a frame of old cut diamonds, set to either side with two graduated upswept diamond set fronds, total weight of diamonds estimated approx. 2.99cts, all set in unmarked white metal (tests as approx. 18ct white gold), on later 18ct box link chain with clasp stamped '750', approx. 15cm wide in total, (10.4g gross)
Condition Report: Emerald is a pale-mid grassy green with good translucency with typical inclusions including a surface rising fracture across the lower third. Minor abrasions to surface. Diamonds are all good, bright and lively and well matched. Overall good.
