Caliber 8x57JS, No. 2470b, serial numbers do not match. Rough barrel, German test fired in 1995. Cartridge case marked "X / 237 / 1939" (= Berlin-Lübecker Maschinenfabrik). Inspection mark: eagle/"214". Action not original for a K 98k. Lacquered walnut stock (not laminated wood), WaA approval eagle HK “26,” high butt plate with disassembly hole. Cleaning rod not original. Russian captured “X.” Length 110 cm.
