A BLUE AND AMBER-GLAZED POTTERY FIGURE OF A COURT LADY
TANG DYNASTY
唐 三彩仕女陶俑
modelled with both arms and hands joined before the body, wearing a deep blue-coloured shawl draped around her shoulders, arms and hands, falling in long folds over an amber-glazed robe to the base revealing pointed slippers, the unglazed face modelled with small features detailed in black, her hair drawn up in a topknot
Height 26.7 cm, 10½ in.
Condition Report:
The figure has a hairline crack running around the front of the neck and extending down over the shoulders. There are scattered chips overall, including to the tips of the chignon and the feet. There are also crackles to the glaze and expected firing imperfections throughout. A ca. 2.3 cm crack is visible the right side of the figure near the foot. There are some black pigments visible to the back extending to the figure's arms on both sides.

Condition Report:
