The dish is skilfully decorated to the interior in various shades of cobalt blue in the 'Master of the Rocks' style with a mountainous river landscape. The rim is encircled by a band of pine boughs. The exterior is decorated with two further landscape scenes. The base bears an apocryphal Chenghua mark.
