A BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN KANGXI REVIVAL 'LANDSCAPE' VASE
China, late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). The vase of baluster form with a broad cylindrical neck and wide mouth. Painted in intense underglaze cobalt blue to the exterior with a Chinese landscape including rocks, a river, trees, a boat and two figures sitting on the riverbank, all under a band of stylized ruyi heads and tiny circles. A 'spiral' border decorating the mouth.
Condition: Very good condition with minor wear.
Provenance: Holzapfel collection, Geneva, Switzerland. This lot was acquired by a second-generation member of the Holzapfel family and has remained in the family ever since.
