A BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN 'FLORAL' LOBED AND BARBED-RIM BOWL, KANGXI MARK AND PERIOD
China, Kangxi period (1662-1722). The shallow lobed sides rising from a short ring foot to an everted barbed rim, finely painted in underglaze blue with various flowers and leaves, the recessed base with a six-character Kangxi mark within a double circle and of the period.
Condition: Good condition with minor wear and firing irregularities, the rim and foot with some fritting and minor chips.
Provenance: Holzapfel collection, Geneva, Switzerland. This lot was acquired by the grandfather of Mr. Holzapfel before 1970 and has been in the Holzapfel family ever since.
