A BLUE AND WHITE SHALLOW DISH, KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)

The interior is decorated with two soldiers in a scene from the 'Water Margin' below detached flowers on the everted rim. The exterior is similarly decorated with fruiting branches, and the base with a peach sprig.
11 1/8 in. (28.3 cm.) diam.

CONDITION REPORT:

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
-There are small frits and glaze gaps to the mouth rim, some of which have been restored with associated overpainting.
-There are small chips and nicks to the foot rim.
-There are expected surface scratches.
