A BLUE-GROUND EMBROIDERED GAUZE DRAGON ROBE, JIFU
19th century
Finely worked in polychrome and gold-wrapped threads with nine writhing five-clawed dragons in pursuit of the flaming pearl amongst cranes and bats in flight on a ground of ruyi cloud clusters and Daoist emblems, above a wide lishui border and crashing waves tossed with auspicious objects. 141cm (55 1/2in) long.

Condition
A few loose gold threads to the top of the central dragon's head to the back of the robe. Some minor pulled threads. Light wear. A few small losses to the lishui stitching to the interior.
