With fluted shoulder and base painted in gold and iron red. The sides painted with branches with peach blossoms in the Kakiemon style in iron red and gold, flanked by two birds. The interior of the cover signed and dated "MLuosing 1725.” in Schwarzlot. Without mark.

The painting probably Dutch with a rare signature and date. Comparable decoration on a Meissen teapot in the Arnhold Collection, M. Cassidy Geiger, 2008, p. 602 no. 296.
