Description: Full-length portrayal of Saint Simon in antique-style costume standing on a plinth. In his hands he holds the attribute of his martyrdom, a sawed sword. A scenic depiction of the apostle's martyrdom can be seen in the background. The sheet comes from a series of depictions of the apostles of Jesus Christ by Boudan, which were created in the mid-17th century as votive or devotional images.
