With broad slightly tapering blade double-edged towards the point (some pitting) and incised 'ANDREA' within the fuller along the back on one side and 'FERARA' within the other, artificially aged hilt of 'mortuary' type comprising guard loosely chiselled with foliage, a moustachioed mask and two winged heads, knuckle-guard connected to two bifurcated bars on each side and screwed to the pommel, the side-bars each chiselled with a bearded mask and foliage, compressed hexagonal pommel, and spirally-grooved fishskin-covered grip bound with twisted wire between Turk's heads
