A Berlin KPM porcelain “apothekenbüchse” pot-pourri vase with a portrait of Friedrich II
Model no. 574, with original lid. Decorated with two oval medallions framed by laurel wreaths, that on the front face containing a portrait of Friedrich II facing left wearing the badge of the Order of the Black Eagle and a tricon; that on the reverse with a trophy still life. The shoulders and rim of the lid picked out in gilding and clover flower wreaths. Blue sceptre mark, incised III. With a restored crack to the lid and base of the finial. H 35.5 cm.
