A Berlin KPM porcelain blaker decorated by Franz Aulich
Model no. 3153, fired in three parts and mounted. Painted in "weichmalerei" style with a central red and yellow tulip flanked by white azaleas. The rocaille surround with floral appliques painted with a large butterfly beside a putto in relief holding a drapery, a fanciful bird below and a cornucopia of flowers on the left. Signed "FAulich" lower right. With faint blue sceptre mark on the reverse, model no., various impressed marks, incised 2. With an old stapled repair to the upper section, various restorations and losses to the floral appliques. H 80, W 54 cm.
