A Berlin KPM porcelain coffee service with winged Amoretti
Comprising a coffee pot with grecian style handles and sugar box, milk jug, six cups and saucers. Decorated with Neoclassical vine motifs and Amoretti in reserves, labelled in English. Blue sceptre mark with blue enamel dash, various impressed and incised marks. Older restorations to the rim of the cover of the sugar box. H coffee pot 18.5 cm.

The service is decorated throughout with a total of 26 Amoretti in various poses and attitudes representing the manifold aspects of love. The labelling in English is an unusual detail and could indicate an English commission, or possibly that the porcelain was sent to England as a gift.
