Model no. 2187 with Renaissance style handles, fired in three parts and screw-mounted. Painted with a bust of the empress in an oval reserve. Blue sceptre mark with round eagle mark, brown stamped imperial orb mark, impressed marks. H 60.5 cm.
Around 1860, model by Julius Wilhelm Mantel, the painting after 1871.
The portrayed woman, Augusta of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach (1811 - 1890), was married to Crown Prince Wilhelm in Charlottenburg Palace in 1829, who reigned as Prussian King Wilhelm I from 1861 and as Emperor from 1871.
