A Bohemian brass and silver communion chalice in the original case

Round, domed base supporting a baluster-form shaft and tapering cup with slightly flared rim and pierced white-silver basket with acanthus decor set with Bohemian garnets. The underside with an engraved plaque bearing the arms of the knights of Bleyleben and the inscription "ANNA MARIA BLEILEBIN GEBORNE PICHLIN VON PICHELBERGK", dated 1626. H 21.5 cm, weight 639 g.
Unmarked, around 1620.

Anna Maria Pichel v. Pichelberk (c. 1595 - 1665) came from a Bohemian princely family and married Alexander Ritter Regner v. Bleyleben, imperial captain and owner of Geiersburg castle near Mariaschein, in Prague in 1615.
