A Brilliant Gilt-Bronze Gem-Inlaid 'Buddha Shakyamuni' Censer. Topknot is surmounted by a seated figure of Buddha Shakyamuni, with well-defined arched eyebrows juxtaposed with the prominent nose above softly and realistically delineated lips, all framed by neatly arranged rows of ringlet curls and a pair of long pendulous earlobes, hair tied into a high chignon, body rendered clad in long, flowing robes, the voluminous drapery elegantly cascading in folds, also cast on the censer with winged figures with fine, detailed feather incisions.
