A Burmese ruby and diamond ring. The oval ruby cabochon collet and graduated baguette-cut diamond line sides, with raised borders to the tapered band. Verbal from GCS, stating Burma, no heat. Estimated dimensions of ruby 9 by 8.4 by 4.1mms. Estimated total diamond weight 0.50ct. Stamped 18k. Ring size R. weight 10.8gms. Purchasing information Overall condition good. Some surface scratches and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Band resized, pitting to the back of the band. Diamonds bright and well matched. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
Few, mostly minor, scattered inclusions. Ruby is a deep medium, moderately pinkish red hue. Typical surface reaching inclusions. Small cavity to the side of the cabochon, possibly a chip. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones.
