China, 20th century. The baluster jar with a gilt copper body, coated with finely hand painted, polychrome enamels, depicting a band of ruiyi heads, flowers and a scenery of two court ladies in a garden. The cover similarly decorated, surmounted by a gilt copper knob depicting a flower.
