A CARVED KNIFE
Straight, single-edged blade, chiselled to imitate a segment with spirals in the second part of the back; marked "ASTIER PRODON / A THIERS" and with stamp; lobed base. Neck with iron knot and brass ring-nut. Horn grip, chiselled to effigy a lion's head at the peak. Scabbard in fish skin, with brass mounts en suite with the ring-nut. One lug.
