of peach form, the domed cover crisply carved through layers of red, green and yellow lacquer with a central panel depicting Lu Dongbin and his acolyte amongst a large overhanging tree, jagged rocks and vegetation, the sides carved with bats and cranes amidst ruyi-shaped clouds, the box similarly decorated with a further band of cresting waves, the interiors and base lacquered black

Condition Report:
The rims of the box and cover have been refreshed, restoration to a 6cm., rim crack towards the back of the box, minor age cracks and tiny nibbles to both box and cover.
