A CELADON-GLAZED BRACKET-LOBED WATER DROPPER, JOSEON DYNASTY
Korea, 19th century. Well modeled with each edge forming one of eight feet, one set with a pinched cylindrical spout, the domed top with a small circular aperture and matching miniature stopper. Finely carved to the sides and top with stylized flowerheads and a key-fret border along the top, covered overall in a rich olive-green glaze save for the feet revealing the gray body partially burnt to orange in the firing. (2)
Provenance: From a private estate in Normandy, France.
Condition: Very good condition with some old wear and firing flaws including pitting and minute glaze recesses.
