A CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE BUDDHISTIC LION PAINTED VASE, SHIPWRECK ARTIFACT, MARKED, POSSIBLY KANGXI PERIOD, 1662-1722, of pear form and sides centering a roaring Buddhistic lion amidst fruiting and blossoming leafy stems, raised on a conforming flaring foot with diapered banding and verso underglaze blue Artemis leaf mark. Condition Report: Good condition for shipwreck porcelain of this age including but not limited to small areas of marine encrustations, surface glaze degradation, small patches of slight surface abrasions, surface sand/soil buildup and foot is not perfectly circular so vase has a slight wobble.
