A CHINESE BLUE-GROUND 'PETAL' BOWL, A BLUE AND WHITE VASE AND A JAR 19th Century - Republic Period 十九世紀至民國時期 藍地人物花瓣盌、青花山水圖紋瓶及「囍」罐 The bowl formed with petal-shaped sides and painted around the exterior with the Eight Immortals on a dark-blue ground, the interior glazed turquoise below a gilt-painted rim, the based with an iron-red six-character Qianlong mark, together with a baluster vase painted with a continuous landscape scene on a crackled ground, the base with an incised brown four-character mark, and a blue and white 'double happiness' jar raised on a wood stand, 20cm diameter, the vases 19 - 40cm high (4) - PROVENANCE: From the collection of Augustus Fletcher (1928-2020), thence by descent. From 1948 to 1958 Gus Fletcher served in the Colonial Police in Malaya, and latterly was Assistant Superintendent of Police and Area Special Branch Officer in the Kuala Pilau and Bahau Police Districts of Negri Sembilan. He was awarded the George Medal in 1957 after a combined police and military operation code-named “Googly” during the Malayan Emergency. He later served the British Government in Hong Kong and New Delhi. This item was inherited by Gus Fletcher from the collection of Oleg P Peresypkin, a long-term Ukrainian resident of Shanghai and later Hong Kong. 來源: 奧古斯都斯·弗萊徹(1928-2020)舊藏,此後家族傳承。 在1940年代後期及1950年代,奧古斯都斯·弗萊徹曾任馬來殖民地警察,及後亞森美蘭州瓜拉庇勞馬口區的助理警察總監和地區特別支部警員。在馬來亞處於緊急狀態期間,他參與了一次名為「古格利(Googly)」的聯合警察和軍事行動,並於1957年被授予喬治勳章。他其後任職於香港及新德里殖民地政府。此拍品為奧古斯都斯·弗萊徹從長居上海及後來香港的烏克蘭人奧列格·P·佩雷西普金的收藏中繼承。Click here to share:Request a condition report
