A CHINESE CARVED CINNABAR LACQUER DOUBLE GOURDS PANEL
Well carved on the upper and lower body with four circular medallions, those on the upper body enclosing the character da, those on the lower body the character ji, reserved on a diaper ground within a ruyi-head border surrounded by a dense ground of lotus scroll, ‘ribbon’ tied in bows at the sides.
