painted to the exterior with four gilt lined medallions, one of a boy on a buffalo surrounded by clouds and magpies, one of Zhi Nu similarly surrounded, one of figures in a garden pavilion, the last of figures beside an outdoor altar, the blue ground incised with feathery scrolls around multi-coloured clouds, the interior painted in underglaze blue with a double lined medallion of the weaver girl and cowherd standing on a bridge of magpies, the well with scattered clouds and birds, underglaze blue seal mark, with box
