A CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE SGRAFFITO-GROUND VASE.
Qing Dynasty, 18th / 19th Century.
The ovoid body rising from a spreading foot, with a wide mid-section hanging over the shoulders rising to a waisted neck and lipped onion neck, brightly enamelled around the exterior with a leafy undulating floral scroll of full-blown lotus, clematis and hibiscus flowers, all reserved on a green sgraffito ground, the shoulder moulded in high relief with gilt decorated iron red bat handles, 40cm H.
