A CHINESE JADE EWER AND COVER.
Qing Dynasty, 18th Century.
The tapering body with a hexagonal spout and handle, carved in shallow relief with two oval panels, one depicting two scholars standing beside a stream beneath a large fruiting peach tree, the inverse with a poetic inscription, the rim with a band of pendent lappets, the high domed cover surmounted by a chi dragon, two character xuan he mark to base, wood stand, 19.5cm H.
